PAUL Lambert has been in the game long enough to know a record at Wycombe second only to Martin O'Neill provides no guarantees.
He managed the Blues for the 100th time on Easter Monday, guiding them to a 0-0 home draw with rivals Stockport that keeps them well-placed in the promotion hunt.
He has won 41 of those games, losing only 33, but is taking nothing for granted.
He said: "I've been here two years. That's a long, long time for any manager to stay at a club.
"Whether you get 100 more I don't know. You just look at the managers who have lost their jobs in League Two alone this year, I think it's nine already.
"It's a very precarious job. One minute you're there, the next you're not."

Lambert has been linked with jobs north of the border. A return to Celtic to manage the club he played for with distinction could be part of his future, but Lambert is not looking so far ahead.
He said: "The Celtic job is huge, it's a big, big job, but I love working in England.
"This is a terrific football club to be at and we'll see how far we can go with it.
"I inherited some really top lads when I came here, and then we had to get a lot of loannees in as well because the squad wasn't big enough.
"Then they went back and a few of the other lads left and you think, we need to rebuild it again'.
"I think I've brought in 13 new players, we don't buy anybody, they're all free transfers and you've got to get them to gel really quickly.
"It's hard to compare the two sides, I'd love to be able to pick from them both.
"But I think the two seasons we've had since I've been here have been pretty successful.
"Working in football is brilliant. Managing is definitely secondary to playing, but in the two years I've been here the lads have given me everything; they've been an absolute joy to work with.
"One of the best things about being a manager is when you get players going for you every week.
"Every single week I can look at these lads and think they've given me everything they've got."
And where does Lambert think he and Wycombe will be in another 100 games?
He said: "I'll probably be alongside Bill Turnbull on that BBC Breakfast programme by then.
"You're never quite sure where you'll be, you could be sacked after 102 so I don't look that far.
"But the most important people at a football club, no matter what anyone says, are the players and fans.
"No matter who sits in the manager's chair, the players and fans will always be there."
