Rosslyn Park finish with a flourish

Coach Chris Kibble believes Rosslyn Park can mount a promotion challenge in National League Three South next season.

Having won four of their past five games, Park are enjoying their best spell of the season.

"It has been a transition year for us in many ways, but now we are starting to gain some real momentum," said Kibble.

"Initially, I thought we would be higher up the league table at this stage, but now it is all about finishing on a high and taking that into the summer months and beyond."

A crippling injury list has forced Kibble into wholesale changes on a regular basis this season.

"We have ended up with such a big turnover of players it has been very hard for the unit to gel," he added.

"We have used more than 50 players this season and that really doesn't help.

"But we are bringing together a stronger group of players now and there more cohesion on the pitch."

Kibble wants Park, who were without a game last weekend, to end the season on a high by winning their remaining two league fixtures, starting at home to Havant on Saturday.

He added: "Whereas about six or seven weeks ago the players did not have that confidence, now we have confidence in ourselves.

"I really want us to target victories in these final two games.

"That would put down a real marker for next season and allow us to go into the pre-season in the right frame of mind."

Rosslyn Park's remaining matches: April 12 Havant (h), 19 Dings Crusaders (a).
