MIDDLESEX face relegation from the Bill Beaumont Cup to the County Championship Shield unless they can bring off a surprise win away to Somerset in Taunton this weekend.
Middlesex lost 34-20 at home to Devon last Saturday but they have battled hard in a pool containing a third west country powerhouse in Gloucestershire.
London Welsh hooker Adam Kwasnicki collected a hat-trick of tries for Middlesex as they trailed 21-20 early in the final quarter against Devon before the visitors pulled clear.
