Harlequins Amateurs 24 Kilburn Cosmos 24, Harlequins Amateurs took on Kilburn Cosmos in a highly competitive match where the sides shared the points.
Fifteen minutes into the game fly-half Cairns ran onto his own up and under, broke the tackle, and scored the first try for Quins.
Kilburn, who were generally more tenacious, got their just rewards in the 21st minute when their full back carved a hole through a weak Quins defence, scoring under the posts
Robinson scored Quins' second try just before half-time taking the score to 12-7. Kilburn added a penalty.
In the second-half, a searing try by Kwasi Appah rose the Quins moral but 20 minutes into the half Kilburn scored their second try.
A turn over by Quins resulted in Currie scoring out on the flank and with about 10 minutes to go Quins were 24-10 up and began to sit back, Kilburn in that time scored twice running the ball down the line away from a very tired pack and a weakened three quarters.
Kilburn could have scored again but some great covering from Aldwinkle saved the day.
Next week Harlequin Amateurs play away to Belsize Park who are third in the league.
