Crystal Palace are in talks to sign free agent Diego Cavalieri.

The Brazilian goalkeeper, 35, has been without a club since leaving Fluminense.

The Eagles are desperate to bring in a senior goalkeeper after Julian Speroni was ruled out for two months with a knee injury.

Cavalieri would add much-needed experience and cover to current number one Wayne Hennessey.

Palace have been plagued by injuries – Scott Dann, Jason Puncheon and Bakary Sako won’t play again this season, while star man Wilfried Zaha is out for another three weeks.

Roy Hodgson’s side are 15th in the Premier League, just a point above the relegation zone with 11 matches remaining.
