Crystal Palace are among four Premier League clubs interested in signing Sporting Lisbon defender Ruben Semedo.
Semedo, 23, played 30 times for Sporting last season, and is attracting interest from all over Europe.
And the centre-back’s impressive displays have put Premier League quartet Palace, Southampton, West Ham and Newcastle on red alert.

Portuguese publication Record says Newcastle and Southampton have submitted bids that do not match Semedo’s £40m release clause.
The Eagles want to sign Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho on a permanent deal following his successful loan spell at Selhurst Park.
But Semedo would add much-needed depth and quality to Palace’s defence, with Scott Dann still recovering from a knee injury.
