Ewell’s David McDonald will be aiming to force his way into the top 10 of the Michelin Formula Renault UK Championship at Silverstone this weekend.
McDonald showed some good speed in testing at Snetterton last week, and Manor Competition co-owner Sarah Shaw believes he is showing the kind of form that can lift him up the championship standings.
“David was strong at Silverstone GP during the pre-season and hehe is only 14 points outside the top 10 in the championship so he stands a good chance of closing that gap,” said Shaw.
McDonald is 12th in the standings on 101 points after the 10 rounds so far.
