After a rare week off, the banger boys come crashing back into action at Plough Lane this evening, where a series of feuds will continue to rage in round 10 of the exciting Refine Metals League.

Last time out, team mates Keith Conlon and James Simpson from Mitcham, had an eventful evening, not only racing well to win vital league points, but they also went on a smashing spree against visiting "The Boyz" team.

During the two evening’s heats, the action exploded when Conlon and Simpson both took offence to the antics of the drivers in the orange and black cars, and got embroiled in several fracas particularly on the home straight, much to the delight of the crowd.

Conlon was still able to secure enough points in the two heats, to move up to fourth place in the table, while Turner slightly hampered by his new rivals had two top 10 finishes.

By finishing fourth in the night’s final, scoring double points in the process, Conlon cemented his position. Simpson drops to ninth slot in the league.

Aaron Oswin from Sutton had a far more productive evening. He completed heat one in second place, and then took fourth in the second heat and the final. Those results take him up two places to sixth position with 80 points.

All the talk on the terraces was about the action involving the two Mitcham lads. This is the second meeting now where the teams have come to blows, with no immediate end in sight to the feud, race fans will be keen to hear.

Hoping to compete in the entertainment stakes are three other formulas including the V8 stock cars, the 2l hot rods and the lightning rods.

The V8s will see the re-run of their series grand final, which was suspended back in November, after a freak accident involving rising star Peter Scott Jnr, when His V8 hit a fence post, after being pushed off course by a safety barrier.

Meanwhile the 2l hot rods will be racing for their annual London Championship. Everybody’s eyes here will be on former Banger racing multi-champion, Jason "Boxer Jack" Jackson, as he likely makes only his second appearance in the formula after stepping up into the non-contact class.

Leading off with the first race of the night at 5.30pm, the Lightning Rods will be beginning their year-long Polleysport series with three action-packed races.
