Rosslyn Park travel to Rotherham Titans this weekend looking to make it three wins from three in National League 1.

Backing up their opening round win at Cinderford with a 25-17 home win over Bishops Stortford on Saturday, Park currently sit third and are one of four teams boasting two wins from as many games.

Despite the victories there is still room for improvement according to Park Head of Rugby Donnie Masters.

“Saturday was a good win against a very good team but there’s plenty to work on,” said Masters.

“We need to work on our ball retention and not gift possession and field position to the opposition.

“Rotherham have lost their opening two games and they’re a very proud club so I’m expecting a tough physical battle.”

Tries from Benji Marfo, Ollie Grove and a penalty-try gave Park the win but it was the well organised defence and solid set piece they had to thank for the victory, echoing Masters’ assessment that ball retention needs improvement.

They’ll travel north with Jack Gash who is in contention to make his first appearance of the season, and they expect Greg Lound to be fit to start after recovering from a broken nose.
