Winless after three matches in the South London & Kent Pool Alliance first division, Fox & Hounds have found some form and won two on the bounce, in the same week.

First they faced Bellegrove A, who were also winless and bottom of the table, so it was always going to be a close game and it lived up to that, with each set being won by the odd frame, 3-2 and Fox took them all for an overall, 9-6 victory.

Fox had three unbeaten players on the night, Kerry Wyatt, who won both her frames and Neil Shelton and Alan Dolan both recording a hat-trick.

After the match against Bellegrove, which had been brought forward, they scored another, 9-6 triumph on Thursday against CSC Mr's & Miss Q's.

They won the first set, 3-2 then did the damage in the second set, taking it, 4-1 leaving just one frame from the final set for victory.

Les Ryan took the second frame of the set to give Fox their second win of the week and they went on to take the next frame before CSC won the last two frames to steal the set.

Earnest Chin won his only frame of the evening but Dolan made it six out of six for the week to put the icing on the cake for Fox's remarkable week, putting them fourth in the table.

Fox's first opponents, Bellegrove A are still without a win, after going down, 10-5 to the division leaders Crayford Social Club Rugrats.

Rugrats were in imperious form, with Pat Firth winning all three of his frames and Adam Hewson both of his, including a break and dish in what could be a SLKPA record of around 80 seconds.

Even though they have lost all four of their matches so far, Bellegrove are not bottom of the table, as they are still three points ahead of CSC but they do have a game in hand.

Rugrats' victory mean they stay ahead of Sharks, who are still the only unbeaten team in the division, after they notched up their third win of the season against Rose Inn.

The first two sets went to Rose, 3-2 giving them a, 6-4 lead but Sharks showed their class and won three of the first four frames in the last set to force the match into a final frame decider, which Chris Mackenzie took to give Sharks the, 8-7 victory.

It was a fright for Sharks, who were taken to the edge and had to fight back for the first time, with Leighton Aston the main man behind the fright, scoring three out of three for Rose but Kevin Dempsey was the inspiration behind Sharks comeback recording his own hat-trick.

Both teams are now on 32 points, just five points behind Rugrats but Sharks are in second, having more wins.

First played second in the SLKPA second division, as Bellegrove Flyers took on North Heath Social Club and Flyers opened up a nine point lead over their opponents after an, 11-4 triumph over them.

Flyers got off to a flyer, taking the first set, 4-1 but North Heath didn't let that dampen their spirits, bringing the score back to, 6-4 after taking the second set, 3-2 however, Flyers flew away again in the final set, whitewashing it, 5-0.

Once again Keith Mitchell was the man of the match, winning all three frames but he was supported by the rest of his team, Mark Kelley, Richard Marsh, Graham Lamb and Luke Chantler, who all won two of their three frames.

Unfortunately for North Heath they dropped to third, as New Eltham Social Club's great start to their inaugural season continued.

They recorded their third win of the season out of four played when they beat Foots Cray Social Club by 10 frames to 5 this week.

Credit must go to Foots Cray though, for stealing a set with only four players.

Jamie Phillips was the only unbeaten player on the night, winning all three of his frames but team mates Shane Burnett, Gary Mason and Paul Carroll weren't far behind, with two out of three frame wins.

This result puts New Eltham four points behind Flyers and sends Foots Cray second bottom, just a point ahead of Happy Hustlers.

After picking up their first win last week, Hustlers played hosts to fellow strugglers Academicals and they hoped to build on that victory.

Academicals had other ideas though, recording their first win of the season by 10 frames to 5, to go nine points ahead of their opponents.

Captain, Gary Mason won two of his three frames for Academicals, with team mate Chris Bracey scoring an unbeaten brace.

Eltham Terrace Club A stay top of the SLKPA Premier Division after beating bottom of the table, Bellegrove Social Club, 10-5 to become the only unbeaten team left in the division.

It was a solid all round team performance with Ben McIntosh, Dan Heinink and Dan Foley each winning both their frames, with Heinink's including a break and dish.

They are now four points ahead of Hustlers Simply Lovleh, who also recorded a, 10-5 victory this week in their derby match against the early league leaders Hustlers A.

Both sides finished the night with an unbeaten player, as George Covington scored a hat-trick for Simply Lovleh and Hustlers A had Nick Steadman to thank for keeping them in the game by winning three of their five frames.

The early league leaders, Hustlers A have slipped to fifth in the table after two defeats in a row and are on the same points as Eltham Terrace Rovers, who won their second match on the spin.

Bellegrove went, 2-0 up against Rovers but most frames were nip and tuck and could have gone either way, which continued into the last set, going to seven all, sending the match into a final frame shoot out.

Up stepped Steve Dixon, who cleared up from a dry break to give Rovers the, 8-7 triumph.

There were no unbeaten players for the victors but Dixon, Elliot Giles, Darren Porter and Dean Rider all scored two out of three to rack up Rovers eight frames.

On the other hand Bellegrove did have two unbeaten players, Barry Barham with two frame wins and Paul Cook with three.

Bellegrove are only two points and two places above Rovers, with Hotshots sandwiched between them, after they beat Pickwick, 9-6 this week.

Pickwick will be rueing their mistakes, taking a, 4-1 lead but they let Hotshots back in and they took full advantage.

There were two quality hat-tricks, with Connor Hewson achieving one for Hotshots and Paul Slater for Pickwick.

For the fourth week in a row the Eltham Terrace Nuthouse result finished, 8-7 with them only being successful once so far.

This week they played Hustlers B, who also only had one win to their name and they started the better, taking the first set, 3-2.

They went on to win the second, 4-1 needing just one frame for victory, but they had to wait until the third frame of the set for Dan Brown to seal the win and spare Nuthouse the agony of a fourth straight final frame decider.

Nuthouse won the last two frames to take the set, 4-1 and make the score more respectable.

There were no unbeaten players for the victors but Nuthouse Captain, Craig Jones won all three of his frames.

Nuthouse are just one point ahead of Hustlers with practically the whole division being quite tight, as seven points separate second from ninth.
