The South London & Kent Pool Alliance Ladies Singles League met for match night four on Monday 2 October.

Again it was a great night of pool, even though some players did not play all three of their matches.

One player who did was, Claire Stork, sitting in fourth and had to play the three above her.

It wasn't a good start, losing, 3-0 to the league leader, Kerry Wyatt but she picked herself up and only lost against, Petrina Pearce and Angie Hobbs in final frame deciders, 3-2.

In contrast, Angie Hobbs played and won all three of her games, beating Donna Mullins, 3-0 and her closest rival, Pearce by the odd frame, 3-2.

Not only did she get 3 wins from her 3 games she managed to defeat one of her rivals Petrina Pearce in a final frame decider.

However, Pearce did win her other two matches to stay ahead of Hobbs in second.

Wyatt kept up her great form, following up her triumph over Stork with a, 3-1 victory over Jade Holmes, to remain top of the table.

However the top three are all locked on 29 points and with fourth 10 points behind, it looks like a three horse race for the title.

Sneaking into fourth is Julie Lancaster, after her, 3-0 win over Mullins and, 3-0 loss to Pearce, put her one point ahead of Stork.

Second from bottom, Mullins managed one win from her three matches, a 3-2 victory over the current wooden spoon holder, Holmes, who lost both of her matches on the night.

Sam Vohmann and Lynn Maher-Bulbul were unable to attend this time around, so their fixtures will be rearranged for match nights five and six.

Each of these ladies should hold their heads high, for the standard of pool they bring to each match night.
