Brentford have signed Kamo Mokotjo from FC Twente for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance, the club has announced.
Mokotjo, 26, completed a medical yesterday (July 6) before penning a three-year deal.
He will travel to join the Bees’ pre-season training camp in France this weekend.
Manager Dean Smith said: “I am pleased that we have been able to add Kamo to our group now and he has become available.
“He is a player that we have been looking at for a while and we are sure he will fit into our system and style that we have.
“Kamo is a defensive midfielder who can break play up, cover a lot of group and use the ball intelligently.
“He is a player that will certainly add to the qualities we already have within the squad,” he added.
