Following their first ever relegation, Pickwick are already proving too strong for the South London & Kent Pool Alliance Tier Two East, after another big win.

This week an under-strength Eltham Terrace Rack Pack were the victims, going down, 3-0 & 13-2.

Pickwick’s Ash Hall was the only one to score three out of three, as the skipper opted for squad rotation.

North Heath Social Club are one point behind Pickwick after their own second big win in a row, taking each set, 4-1 against CSC Mr’s & Miss Q’s, for an overall 12-3 victory.

There were some tight tactical battles as well as good attacking pool, which was summed up by Akar Necati’s evening; in one frame, he cleared from the break, then he watched as Lee Bushell almost did the same to him, inexplicably missing a straight black to the centre, Necati then snookered his way to eventually win the frame and help secure the final set.

That was Necati’s third frame win of the night and he was joined by Brett Crawley and Paul Baker on the same score, with Crawley keeping his 100% start to the season.

Rose Inn made it three teams with two wins from two played in the division, after a much closer, 2-1 & 9-6 triumph over Bellegrove Flyers.

It was a great night for the Taylor’s with both Dean and Lewis winning all three frames, Lewis’s on his debut and Dean’s keeping him unbeaten for the season.

In his only frame, Rose Captain, Neil Mundy beat Flyers skipper, Keith Smith to secure the match for his side.

The final game of the division sawFoots Cray Social Club and Falconwood Club A share the points.

Foots Cray won the first and third set, 3-2 to win the match in sets, 2-1 but Falconwood won the second set, 4-1 to score more frames overall, 8-7 and gain the bonus point.

Hustlers B are the early leaders in SLKPA Tier Two West, after their derby day victory against the Happy Hustlers.

All credit goes to them as they remained happy and upbeat, as their name suggests, despite the, 3-0 & 14-1 thrashing.

Ben Creffield, Alex Biggs and Joe Kane all recorded unbeaten hat-tricks for the victors.

Sharks made it two out of two but it was a much closer affair this week against Eltham Terrace Nuthouse.

Nuthouse got off to the better start, taking the first set, 3-2 and they had their chances to win but didn’t take them, as Sharks matched that score in the second set before taking the final set, 4-1 for an overall, 2-1 & 9-6 triumph.

Shane O’Reilly and Craig Jones both won two of their three frames but Arif Salih and Jeff Laporte went one better for Sharks, winning all three of their frames.

Bellegrove A join Hustlers and Sharks on two from two, with a 3-0 in sets & 10-5 in frames win over Academicals.

Bellegrove wanted to continue their good start to the season and they did just that, with new Captain Steve Hughes taking the opener and John Skuza and Pat Melia also won frames to take the set, however Gary Mason and Kevin England both got on the scoreboard for Academicals to make the set score, 3-2.

In the second set, Bellegrove took the first three frames to secure the set but Academicals battled back and again pulled the set back to, 3-2.

Melia and Hughes won the first two frames of the final set, to give them both unbeaten hat-tricks, before Donna Mullins pulled one back but they couldn’t repeat the first two sets, as Bellegrove won the final two frames.

Crayford Social Club Rugrats bounced back from their opening day defeat with a win against Fox & Hounds.

It was much closer than the, 3-0 &11-4 score suggests, as the first two sets were only won, 3-2 but Rugrats ramped it up in the final set, whitewashing it, 5-0.

Despite the big score line, there was only one unbeaten player, Rugrats Captain, Scott Shephard on three out of three.

Both the lower divisions have three unbeaten teams but the SLKPA Elite League only has two, Falconwood Club and Eltham Terrace Club A.

Falconwood Club hit the top spot after a, 2-1 & 10-5 win over newly promoted Bellegrove Social Club.

Bellegrove took a surprising, 3-1 lead, giving them the first set but Falconwood won nine of the next eleven frames to show why they will be contenders for the title.

Barry Barham was the only unbeaten player, on three out of three but he was supported by Paul Elford, Richie Shephard and Dean James, all winning two of their three frames.

Eltham Terrace Club A had it much tougher, with an away trip to Hotshots, I say away but they both play at the same venue now but that wasn’t the toughness I meant.

Hotshots were top of the shop after their opening day victory and games between these two are always close encounters, so it was no surprise when Terrace edged the first set, 3-2.

They went on to take the first two frames of the second set, with Dave Rawlinson performing a break and dish to make it, 2-0 but just like last week Hotshots rallied round to tie the set, before Richard Chapman performed his own break and dish to take the set and level the match.

The last set also went down to a final frame decider, with both team’s unbeaten records on the line and it was Chapman looking to do it again but this time Ben Mcintosh was the victor, giving Terrace the, 2-1 & 8-7 triumph.

Although Chapman couldn’t quite do it in the final frame, he did score two out of three and was joined by Danny Kelliher and Connor Hewson but player of the night must go to Terrace’s Rawlinson who went on to win all three frames after his break and dish.

Falcons recorded their first win in the SLKPA, with a 2-1 & 8-7 victory over Eltham Terrace Rovers, however Rovers Captain, Darren Porter made sure they didn’t have it all their own way with an unbeaten hat-trick.

It was also a triumph for Falconwood, as they beat Royal Oak, 2-1 & 9-6 to leave them bottom of the table.

Despite the loss both Phil Tworek and Paul Clements scored two out of three for the Oak.
