Aryton Simmons will compete for Garry Horner's TRS Arden in the F4 British Championship next season.

The Epping driver, who is still only 15-years-old, returns to the grid following a successful campaign last season.

He finished second in the British F4's Rookie class having recorded an impressive six wins despite having missed the first two rounds due to his age.

When speaking to arden-motorsport.com Simmons said: "I'm extremely excited to sign for Arden for the second year running in British Formula 4.

"And I'm grateful for their confidence in my performance. Having been part of their Young Racing Driver Academy for a few years now.

"I know I'm in the right team to attempt the championship title and I am working very hard pre-season to achieve it."

His most incredible run to date was in last year's season finale at Brands Hatch when he fended off championship runner-up Sennan Fielding for second.

Simmons was also close to sneaking past champion and eventual race winner Max Fewtrell.

The team website said: "Simmons unquestionably has both youth and experience on his side as he embarks on his first full season in single-seater racing."

The racer is joined by Oscar Piastri and Yves Baltas. Ollie Caldwell, who does not turn 15 until June, will initially race in the Ford F4 Challenge Cup.
