Week three of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance summer season and all three teams from the Bellegrove Social Club were in top form, each finishing the night with good wins to go first, second and third in their respective divisions.

Best of all was Elite League's Bellegrove, who after last week's setback whitewashed Eltham Terrace Rack Pack, 3-0 in sets and 15-0 in frames.

This result leaves Rack Pack rooted to the bottom of the table, whereas Bellegrove are in second, on the same points as Hotshots at the top.

Hotshots keep their spot after a close affair with Pickwick, that ended 2-1 and 8-7 to the league leaders.

Hotshots took the first set, 3-2 but Pickwick fought back to level the match at 1-1 and 5-5.

The third set was won by the same 3-2 score line, with Steve Krishnan winning his only frame to get Hotshots over the line.

Pickwick's Martin Storey and Paul Slater were unbeaten on two out of two, as was Hotshot's Danny Kelliher.

O'Connors jump into third, two points behind the top two after their emphatic win over Eltham Terrace Rovers.

They won the first eight frames, securing the win before Josh Allen won Rovers first frame in the ninth.

Tony Gear and Adam Coppen took the first two frames of the final set for O'Connors, with their hat-tricks but Rovers pulled it back to two all, before Jordan O'Connor won the final frame to give his side the 3-0 and 12-3 victory.

Eltham Terrace Club A had better fortune, beating Foots Cray Social Club Rugrats by 3 sets to 0 and 10 frames to 5.

The match was closer than the score suggests, as Eltham only won the first two sets 3-2 but took the last 4-1.

Both Captain Ron Brown and Ben McIntosh won all three of their frames, with Brown being assisted by an outrageous fluke on the black in the second set.

In SLKPA Tier Two East Bellegrove Social Club made it into third with their win over Glenmore Arms 2.

The game started quite evenly with Bellegrove winning the first two sets 3-2 but they turned on the style in the final set, taking it 5-0, making the final score 3-0 and 11-4.

The whole team played well but Colin McCormack and Jason Brunton, against his old team, excelled both scoring three out of three.

Both the relegated teams faced each other this week, as North Heath Social Club faced Royal Oak.

As both teams have got off to losing starts something had to give and it was Royal Oak who changed their fortune with a 2-1 and 9-6 victory.

John Cochrane was the inspiration behind the triumph, winning all three of his frames.

There was a top of the table clash, as second placed Plumsead Radical Club Rebels played hosts to the early leaders Falconwood Club.

The visitors came out of the blocks quicker winning the first set 4-1 and the second 3-2.

Rebels fought back in the third, taking the first three frames to make the overall score 7-6 in Falconwood's favour.

The division leaders held their nerve to take the last two frames to secure a 2-1 and 9-6 victory.

It was a solid team performance from Falconwood, with new boy Kieron Evans winning his only frame but Rebels Steve Dixon was the player of the night with three out of three frame wins.

Bellegrove A stay top of SLKPA Tier Two West after their 2-1 and 9-6 win over Pickwick Academicals.

The Academicals took the first set with Chris Bracey winning his only frame to secure the set by 3 frames to 2.

Bellegrove battled back and won the second set 4-1 to level the match and take a 6-4 lead in frames.

In the final set Academicals took a 2-1 lead but Keith Smith levelled and Terry Mitchell made a lovely clearance to pinch it for Bellegrove.

Jon Syta claimed another hat-trick for Bellegrove in a good match, played in a great atmosphere.

Glenmore Arms A are in second after beating Greyhound but they didn't have it all their own way.

They won the first two sets 5-0 but amazingly lost the final set 3-2, making the final score 2-1 and 12-3.

What made it even worse was that Paul Thomas lost the final frame to his step-dad, Lewis Brind, after he made a fine cut on the black, only for the cue ball to travel up and down the table and disappear down a pocket.

James Grant and Greg Phillimore both scored three out of three, while Dean Geary-Parr won both his frames.

Making it two in a row are Royal Oak Addicks as they pulled off a shock 2-1 and 9-6 win over Eltham Terrace Nuthouse.

Nuthouse took the first set 3-2 but Addicks battled hard to win the second set 4-1 and the third 3-2.

Mick Gormley and John Maher both won all three of their frames and George Gash his only frame for the Addicks.
