Watford striker Odion Ighalo will make his first appearance for Nigeria’s senior side after being named in the Super Eagles’ starting XI for their friendly against Uganda this evening.
The 25-year-old only returned from a hamstring injury in the Hornets’ weekend defeat to Ipswich Town but is deemed fit enough to begin Nigeria’s clash against the Cranes tonight at the Akwa Ibom Stadium.
Nigeria have been able to arrange tonight’s fixture a short notice. They were meant to take on Bolivia this evening but the South American country pulled out of the game on the ground of security fears last week.
Nigeria starting XI: Enyeama, Balogun, Omeruo, Akas, Ogbonnaya, Onazi, Akpan, Ukoh, Musa, Ighalo, Ujah
