Hornets boss Slavisa Jokanovic says the injury Heurelho Gomes sustained during Watford’s win against Rotherham United is “nothing especially important”.
The Brazilian goalkeeper had to undergo treatment during the second period but was able to play on and complete the game.
However, Hornets defender Gabriele Angella did have to take a few goal kicks for Gomes late into the 3-0 victory.
Jokanovic was asked after the game if Gomes’ injury could rule him out of Saturday’s trip to Leeds United, the Golden Boys head coach replied: “It (the injury) is nothing especially important.
"He was kicked and then he had some problem kicking the ball. It is a problem we will resolve. I expect him to be ready for the next game.”
