West Ham United will make a shock move for former Barcelona and Internazionale forward Samuel Eto’o, according to the Daily Mirror.

The veteran forward, 33, spent last season at Chelsea, scoring nine Premier League goals in 16 starts for the Blues before leaving at the end of his contract.

Formerly of Barcelona, Internazionale and Anzhi Makhachkala, the Cameroonian is understood to be on Sam Allardyce’s radar as he seeks to boost his striking options following Andy Carroll’s most recent injury setback.

Eto’o, who has won the UEFA Champions League three times, has also been linked with London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers.
