Istead adapt to new game
TRACK and field are not Istead & Ifield's natural forte, but the club are now in the Kent veterans' league for men and ladies.
Last Friday saw the second meeting of the veterans' league take place at Deangate near Hoo.
The men came fourth with 56 points to rise up to fifth spot in the league.
Emma Penfold and Judy Bain came second on the night with 32 points, which put the ladies third in their league.
The following day saw the men go to Kingston and they claimed second place with 126 points.
