Karl Robinson wants his former club Charlton to win promotion this season.
The Addicks take on Shrewsbury in the play-off semi-final first leg tonight.
And Robinson, who left Charlton for Oxford United in March, believes his side will fare better next term if the South Londoners are in the Championship.
“I’m glad Wigan and Blackburn have been promoted, they are out of the way next year and that’s the most important thing,” the Liverpudlian told the Oxford Mail.

“This is what people need to realise.
“Hopefully the right people go up and when the fixture list comes out we’ll look like one of the big hitters in the league.”
