Charlton will be without star man Tariqe Fosu for two weeks.

The Addicks winger was forced off in the win over Rotherham with a groin injury.

But caretaker manager Lee Bowyer has been boosted by the return of Ahmed Kashi, who is available for the trip to Bristol Rovers on Saturday.

He said: “Kashi is back available now. We’ve lost Tariqe for a couple of weeks but Kashi is a big player for us. So it’s a big plus to have him back in the squad.

“I won’t get too technical but Tariqe’s got a bad groin and he’s going to be out for a couple of weeks, hopefully maybe quicker than that.

“It’s just one of those things unfortunately. The pitch against Northampton was a heavy pitch and then he tweaked his groin a bit on Monday.

“Sullay [Kaikai] came on and did a great job. When one person goes out, it opens the door for another player.

“I’m very fortunate. I have a good squad of players, they're coming back fit now. We've got little Jay Dasilva back and Kashi is coming back now. I’m happy.”

Lewis Page is also primed for a return to the matchday squad after he was rested against Rotherham.

The left-back, who only recently recovered from a string of injuries that kept him out for almost a year, played the full 90 minutes in wins over Plymouth and Northampton.

Bowyer added: “He’s available. There was nothing wrong with Lewis. He hadn't played a game in the year that I’ve been here. I had never seen him play 90 minutes.

“He played the Saturday then the Friday, I think he was outstanding. It would’ve been silly to put him in against Rotherham.

“If he would've picked up an injury then I would've been relying on little Jay who’s only just come back himself after six weeks out. Little Jay wasn't a bad replacement for Page to have a rest.”
