Karl Robinson has apologised for ignoring Charlton fans after their 1-0 defeat to Blackpool last night.
Club captain Johnnie Jackson was seen telling his team-mates to thank the 264 supporters who had made the 500-mile-round trip to Bloomfield Road.
The below-par Addicks suffered their third successive reverse thanks to Jimmy Ryan’s 91st-minute strike.
Charlton manager Robinson said: “I’ve got to make an apology. You can imagine how disappointed I was, I did something I haven't done for a long time - I didn't clap the fans. That’s poor from me.
“I sat in the dressing room and the penny dropped, that’s not me. You know me better than that. We thank them for their support constantly. We have to take the criticism from them.

“They do what they do to come up here and support us and we’ve let them down. I’m at the helm of that. As a manager you can never shirk - I never have and I never will. So I apologise for not clapping.
“Even if they're going to criticise, we should still have the bravery to do that. Thankfully the players did and those are little moments you have to do as a good person.
“It was poor from me and I apologise for that.”
