Neil Harris wants Millwall fans to crank up the volume at Leeds on Saturday.

The Lions boss is urging the travelling 1,400 supporters to raise the roof as his team seek their first away win of the season.

Harris told News Shopper: “Be loud. Enjoy it. We need to make it as good an atmosphere as we can from a Millwall perspective.

“Elland Road is a fantastic football theatre and our fans will certainly play their part in that on the weekend.”

Millwall ended Leeds’ unbeaten start to the 2017/18 campaign in September when Aiden O’Brien scored the only goal of the game.

The Yorkshire outfit are one of many big clubs that have been knocked off by the Lions at the Den this season.

But it’s their away form that has Millwall 16th in the Championship – they have taken just six points from a possible 39.

Harris added: “The 1,400 or so fans who have been at nearly every away game would say we’ve been good.

“When we play Leeds, it’ll be nine of the top 12 that we’ve been away to this season.

“We’ve outplayed Bristol City, we’ve outplayed Aston Villa, we’ve outplayed Nottingham Forest, who aren’t near the top, but we should have won that game by a dozen goals.

“We should’ve won at Brentford and got something at Fulham. We’ve been very good on the road without getting the end product.

“Going to Leeds in a hostile atmosphere, it will be a great one to be in as a Millwall player. There aren’t many better places to play as a Millwall player than Elland Road. My players will be up for it.

“We have to make sure we’re competitive defensively. We’ve got a good defensive record on the road prior to the Christmas period.

“We have to find that ruthlessness in front of goal [away from home] because if we’d found it, we wouldn’t be far off the top six.”
