Jake Caprice admits three defeats in a row is not good enough for Leyton Orient and insists the players are determined to put it right.

The O's squandered a 1-0 lead in their 2-1 home defeat to Hartlepool United yesterday.

Caprice expects more from the team and is focused on ensuring the National League side get back on track at Aldershot next weekend.

The defender said: “We’re disappointed as you can expect. All of us expect us to be doing better than we are at the minute. Three defeats on the bounce is not good enough especially at a club like us.

"We have to put it right, get back on the training pitch and see where we’ve gone wrong.

“I think with the team we’ve got, I would have expected us to do as well as we had prior to these three games. Three losses on the bounce isn’t good enough whichever way you look at it.

"Regardless of previous results, it’s not good enough so it’s something we have to put right."

Caprice does not think their performance was poor against United but admits the side need to improve defensively after being caught out again by set pieces.

He said: “It’s really frustrating because straight away at half-time we said let’s not give away a free-kick and give them an opportunity.

"That’s what we did though and we haven’t defended well enough. It left us with an uphill battle from there."
