Millwall Lionesses have signed forward Ella Rutherford to a two-year deal, the club has announced.
Rutherford is a graduate from the Lionesses’ Centre of Excellence, and made her debut for the club last April on the week of her 16th birthday.
Having already become a part of England’s under-17s set-up, she will look to build upon a strong performance in the FA Women’s Super League Spring Series when she finished as the club’s joint top scorer with three goals in six appearances.
She said: “It’s great to sign a contract with the club that I’ve been at for the past six years.
“This is what I have been working towards, trying to gain a regular place in the first-team and get as much experience as I can.”
