Charlton are interested in signing Swindon captain Nathan Thompson, according to reports.

Thompson’s contract expires in the summer and he is unlikely to sign a new deal at the County Ground after the club were relegated to League Two last season.

The 26-year-old defender has been a consistent performer since making his debut for the Robins in 2008.

And Sky Sports HQ says Thompson will end his nine-year stay in Wiltshire with QPR, Ipswich and Portsmouth also monitoring his situation.
