Leyton Orient confirmed the appointment of Neale Fenn as assistant manager to Omer Riza until the end of the season.

The 40-year-old has joined the E10 club with immediate effect and is no stranger to the O's having spent time on loan in 1998.

Fenn has coached and played in Ireland for the likes of Shamrock Rangers, Dundalk and Cork City.

In England, he came through the ranks of Tottenham Hotspur and has also played for Peterborough United and Norwich City.

Erbil Bozkurt has been given a promotion as he steps up to fulfil the role of goalkeeper coach for the rest of the season following the exit of Martin Brennan.

"I've known Fenny a long time, and we went to school together funnily enough. He was a few years old than me but I looked up to him," Omer Riza told leytonorient.com.

"He has come over from Ireland which shows how keen he was to join and he did not hesitate when saying yes to joining. We need people willing to fight until the end of the season and that is what Fenny will do.

"Erbs has also stepped up to goalkeeper coach for the rest of the season, and he gets on well with all the 'keepers anyway having worked with them all season given that Brenners had given him the opportunity to come in and help out with both Under-18s and the first team.

"It is great that he has developed that relationship with the players and again, Erbs is someone I have known for a while."

Riza is set to serve a one-match touchline ban and will not be in the dugout for tomorrow's clash against Cambridge United (3pm kick-off, Cambs Glass Stadium).

Roza was sent off in his first game in charge at half-time in their 2-0 loss to Wycombe Wanderers last week.

The 37-year-old accepted the FA charge and this commences tomorrow.
