Ollie Palmer has joined Luton Town on loan until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old striker has found the net five times in 23 matches for the O’s this season, and has 75 League Two appearances to his name since joining the club in July 2015.
He is the latest in a string of senior players to leave the club during the January window after Jay Simpson, Alan Dunne and Jordan Bowery all moved on.
The striker will be trading in a relegation fight with Orient for a play-off push with the Hatters who currently occupy fourth spot in the table.
Despite the arrival of Rowan Liburd earlier today, new O’s boss Danny Webb appears to be short on attacking options for the remainder of the campaign.
Paul McCallum, who is recovering from a knee injury, is the most experienced of those who do remain at Brisbane Road.
