Watford will now play Sheffield Wednesday on Friday live on Sky Sports

5:44pm Wednesday 8th July 2009 in


Watford’s Championship game with Sheffield Wednesday in October has been moved to a Friday night to accommodate Sky Sports.

The match, which was scheduled for Saturday, October 24, will now be shown live on Sky Sports a day earlier.

Kick off will be 7.45pm.

Some junior program planner has obviously made a mistake. What's the point of showing Watford v. Wednesday? Watford v. United, now that's a game with some needle to it.

When will the "powers that be" realise that they are on the way to alienating fans even more. We want a return to the traditional 3pm Saturday kick-off so our families can enjoy the fun at the Vic.

hey the odd game gets moved the club makes a bit of extra money i assume you lot who are complaining will still be there and us long distance fans get to see an extra game or two is it really so bad

Yes it bxxxdy well is.If you think by watching the box is a good substitute for live football you don't understand the game.

sorry headbo but i used to be a season ticket holder until i had to move away from watford for work reasons i still go to away games in the north and the midlands as much as i can afford to so dont tell me i dont understand the game were only on sky a few times a year so is it really that much of a big bloody deal i think not watching home games on the box is the next best thing but its the only choice i have so chill out dude its not the end of the world
