Big time beckons for Spurs
Spurs boss Juande Ramos believes delivering the dream of Carling Cup success was easy, as every wish he has had since coming to White Hart Lane has been granted.
The Spanish coach also believes the plans for the future of the club, including a new training complex can see them rank up there with the big guns like Real Madrid.
"Life is sweet and full of contentment for me at Spurs," said Ramos in The Sun.
"I've got the resources of a great and proud club at my fingertips.
"Every time I ask for something it's granted to me instantaneously and, from day one here at Spurs, what has surprised me is the importance which the club places on the orders of the coach.
"I feel enormous pride in my career.
"It has been brutally hard to get to where I am today with Spurs, given I was never a big-name footballer or a guy with an international pedigree.
"I've had to fight for what I've achieved and in the glory moments like this it's not hard for me to recall that I've had to push my way up through virtually every category of Spanish football.
"Until my last two posts I've basically learned my trade and built my reputation with humble clubs with low budgets.
"Now I can look at my desk and see the plans Spurs have for a massive new training complex at Bull's Cross which is going to be much better than Real Madrid's."
