Flying return: Warren McBean skips past his marker in Sutton United's shock win at Bath City Paul Loughlin from-the-lane.co.uk
Sutton United striker Warren McBean blasted former boss Ernie Howe after marking his return to the line-up with a brace in Saturday's stunning win at Bath City.
McBean hit a quick-fire double in his first start since returning from a loan spell at Eastleigh, as Sutton notched a 3-2 win at the promotion-chasing West Country side.
And he was on target again with the opener on Tuesday night as United grabbed a 1-1 draw at Bognor Regis Town.
And the hitman revealed his frustration at the treatment he had received.
He said: "I had a very good pre-season and I was really looking to do well.
"I tweaked my hamstring in the first couple of games and I started slowly.

"Then Ernie came in and I didn't really get on with him.
"The way he did things was wrong, in my opinion.
"He handled players in a certain manner I didn't like, and the boys didn't like the fact that he slagged them off in the papers every week.
"He turned the dressing room against him."
The irony is that, while Howe bemoaned the club's lack of a goalscorer, McBean was banging in the goals at the play-off chasing Hampshire club.
United host Cambridge City on Saturday, with their players hoping to further caretaker-boss Jimmy Dack's bid to land a permanent deal.
"I would be happy to stay next season, but only if Jimmy Dack stays and if the club is going to move in the right direction, said McBean.
After four points from their last two games, Dack is keen for Sutton to finish on a high.
"As a player, you want to finish the season on a high and managers are no different.
"People used to fear playing Sutton United and we need to get that attitude back."
