Hillingdon Borough officials have applauded Steve Ringrose for the work he did at the club.
Ringrose resigned last week after failing to get assurances over the progress of the club.
But a spokesman for the owners said: "It's a huge loss to be losing Steve. Everybody has a lot of time and respect for him and he will be an asset to any club he moves on to.
"It's very disappointing that he has gone but he was not given the full support by the board of directors."
Ringrose's popular seven-year spell in charge has seen plenty of success which culminated in the Errea Cup triumph last year when they defeated four BGB Premiership teams along the way.
Under his leadership, Boro also went all the way to the FA Vase final in 2006 where they were beaten at St Andrews by Nantwich Town.
