Beavers pair commit to Premier League bid

Hampton & Richmond Borough midfielder Karle Carder has warned the Ryman Premier League they will see the best of him this term.

The former Brentford trainee became an important part of boss Mark Harper’s first team during last term’s doomed Blue Square South campaign and signed a deal to remain with the club on Thursday.

And Carder, who struggled for fitness last season, has targeted a swift return to the second tier of non-League football “I’m happy to get signed and start pre-season and get fit,” he said.

“I wasn’t really fit last season and there is a lot more than the fans saw of me last season. Can’t wait for the season to start and get Hampton back where they belong.”

James Simmonds, who pledged his future to the club this week, added: “The club’s ambition to win the league, is the reason I’m staying, despite interest from other clubs.”
