Gravesend Football League B 3-1 Sevenoaks & District League B
THE Gravesend League's B squad enjoyed a victory against their Sevenoaks & District counterparts at Corinthians FC last week.
Gravesend started the game very brightly with some superb football and made several forays into the Sevenoaks half.
They were only denied an early goal by the in-form Sevenoaks keeper, but the home side's good play paid off in the 25th minute.
Lee Collard broke away on the right and played the perfect pass to his fellow striker Graham Runham to slot home from 12 yards to give Gravesend a well deserved lead.
This was soon doubled when Collard ran onto Billy Kingwell's through ball to round the Sevenoaks keeper and score.

Sevenoaks started the second half much the brighter of the two sides and were at last beginning to make a game of it.
But with the Gravesend defence playing superbly, they created very little in front of goal and even when they did get a chance Gravesend's goalkeeper Ian Saunders was equal to anything they had to offer.
Sevenoaks did score after 65 minutes with a firm far post header and for a while Gravesend had to dig in to stop their opponents from getting an equalizer.
Skipper Mark Holden rallied his troops and Gravesend began to get back on top and had several half chances to increase their lead.
However, they suffered a blow when William Friend sustained a broken collarbone when he fell heavily.
Manager Peter Danzey had already used all of his substitutes meaning Gravesend had to play the last 15 minutes with 10 men.
This did not deter from the excellent Gravesend performance and they got their just rewards when Collard ran onto Gary Witcomb's pass for a carbon copy of his first half goal.
Mr Danzey said afterwards: "It is most unusual in any form of the game for every player to have a good match.
"Tonight was the exception as I can honestly say every one of my 14-man squad had an excellent game and were a credit to their clubs and the Gravesend Football League."
At the conclusion of the game, Gravesend League chairman Tony Scott presented mementoes to both teams and the match officials and handed the Roger Bowen Trophy to skipper Holden.
