Player Profile: Asa Hall

Oxford signed midfielder Hall, aged 23, on a 2-year deal, having been released by Luton Town. In his early days, he was named Birmingham City's 'Young Player of the Season' at the end of the 2004-2005 season. He spent time away from Birmingham on loan spells at Boston United, Ashford Town and Shrewsbury Town. It was at Shrewsbury that he began to prove himself, scoring on debut in Jaunary 2008. He was released by Birmingham City, and it seemed that he would sign for Shrewsbury, but instead he moved to League Two rivals Luton Town in August 2008, where he played 82 matches, scoring 17 goals. Having played in the team that was relegated to the Blue Square Premier at the end of the 2008-2009 season, he then reached the Playoff Semi-Final at the end of the 2009-2010 season before signing for the Yellows in May 2010.
