TERRY'S TALK: Clean sheets have given us boost we need to climb the table

I’VE been delighted to see the boys keep both the unbeaten run and cleansheets record going this week, and it has helped to cheer me up a bit as I’ve really been struggling with my back.
I missed three days training last week, which is really not like me because I’d only not trained for two days before that since I came to the club.
But everything is starting to feel good again and hopefully I will be back in contention for the weekend at Bradford.
So it was great to see the lads get a solid draw against Millwall on Saturday, and then an excellent win at Huddersfield on Tuesday night.
Speaking to a few of the boys they said they had to hold on a bit in the second half, but in the end they were able to keep another cleansheet and that is five now on the bounce.
And with more cleansheets than a laundry one man in the camp is certainly happy, because I think Cat (Glenn Morris) has been able to do all his Christmas shopping with all these bonuses and still have money left over to party with during the new year.
We have said all along how important it was to give ourselves that base to build from, because we were conceding so many silly goals at the start of the season.
But we have been defending really well as a team lately and all the hard work that everyone put in on the training ground to put things right appears to be paying off now.
And all credit to the staff because we haven’t changed our style of play. We still like to play our football and it is nice that we have turned it around by sticking to our principles.
The win at Huddersfield has certainly put us back in the race, because the table is looking a lot tighter between us and the teams above. We knew though that if we could string a run together that things would change and long may it continue.
For now though all attentions turn to the FA Cup and what looks a tough trip to Bradford. They have been flying in League Two and got another good result on Tuesday after they came from 2-0 down to beat Chesterfield.
I understand that they might be out for a bit of revenge as it was Orient that pretty much sent them down a couple of years ago, but I think that is all in the past really.
