TERY'S TALK: What a Corrie on! We're all going ginger nuts over Sean
9:10am Thursday 23rd October 2008 in Terry's Talk
IT was a much better performance against Leeds on Tuesday and showed the fight we have in the team.
Unfortunately we were unable to stop the rot, but the performance will give us a lot of encouragement.
We did however let ourselves down big time on Saturday against Tranmere, because once more we never got going in the first half.
If we want the fans to come back and watch us we know we’ve got to play a lot better, especially than the way we performed in the first half.
We now head for Yeovil on Saturday and hopefully we can repeat the excellent result we got there last season.
Of course I had a brilliant time at Yeovil as a player before coming to Orient, but it was nice to go there and beat them last season and hopefully we can come away with another three points on Saturday. At the moment they have also been struggling as well this season, so it might be a bit of a cagey game but it is one we are confident we can go and win.
Finally I can’t let Sean Thornton’s return to the club go unnoticed, even if he is trying to play things down by losing his famous blonde locks.
Perhaps he thought he would come back from Shrewsbury with a new image, but he has certainly taken a bit of stick after letting his ginger locks come through.
Of course being a ginger myself it is nice to see, but poor old Sean has been tagged with the new nickname of Chesney off Coronation Street.
Every time he goes off somewhere he gets asked if he is going to get Schmeical, or meet Fizz and it has certainly helped keep the moral up in the camp over the last week or so.
