Former Orient defender Terrell Forbes has signed a one-year contract with Chesterfield.
The 30-year-old was not offered a new deal with the O’s at the end of the campaign and has agreed to join the Spireites for the coming season.
Forbes made 73 appearances for Orient across a two-year stint at Brisbane Road and had previously worked with Russell Slade at both Yeovil Town and Grimsby Town.
The final game of his O’s career saw him replace Moses Odubajo as an 85th minute substitute, but his 42 starts last season was only bettered by Matthew Spring.
The deal means Forbes will be playing League Two football next season after Chesterfield suffered relegation from League One in the last campaign.
