KENNY Jackett hailed the sell out crowd at The Den who roared Millwall into the play-off final.

Goals in either half from Steve Morison and captain Paul Robinson settled the play-off semi-final with Huddersfield on Tuesday night and now Millwall can turn their attentions to avenging last season’s play-off final defeat to Scunthorpe.

And the Lions boss warned Swindon his side have no fear about their Wembley showdown.

Jackett said: “It was an excellent atmosphere and something I’d love to see repeated.

“The intensity they created was fantastic.

“But that is only half the job done, we now have to focus on the final.

“It’s a great achievement to get to Wembley and it will be a great day for the fans, but we must stay focused on the football.”

Jackett has tasted play-off final defeat with Swansea and Millwall as a manager and knows better than anybody what an appearance at Wembley is all about.

“It is great to get there but, like these play-off semi-finals, it is win or lose.

“There is no middle ground.”

The Lions beat Swindon 3-2 on the final day of the season but Jackett insists it will play no part in the outcome of the Wembley showpiece on May 29.

He added: “I don’t think the win gives us a psychological edge, we have got to go out and earn that again. We won’t take anything for granted.

“We must pay Swindon respect but we certainly don’t fear them. We have progressed from last year and we have an experienced group of very good characters who were determined to get us back to Wembley after last season.”

Reflecting on the win over Huddersfield, Jackett was particularly pleased to point out his side had shutout one of the best attacks in the league.

He said: “Huddersfield scored over 100 goals this season but we’ve kept two clean sheets against them and have limited the chances they have had in either game.

“The first goal was going to be vital and I’m pleased to say Steve Morison came up with it.

“He has a happy knack of being in the right place at the right time in the box.

“And Robinson’s header was very well taken.

“He has plenty of experience now. He is a big player for us, with a big personality.”

They are attributes Millwall will need to show again at Wembley if they are to end their play off jinx at the sixth attempt but they can certainly rely on their followers’ backing for support.
