Watford are set to sign Czech duo Daniel Pudil and Matej Vydra on season-long loans from Granada and Udinese.

The Hornets were taken over by the Pozzos two weeks ago and new arrivals from the family's other two clubs were always expected.

The news was broken by Pudil's agent the Chovanec Sport Agency, with Watford, Granada and Udinese yet to make an announcement.

Pudil is a 26-year-old left-sided player who can play in midfield or defence and joined Granada from Belgian side Racing Genk.

He was on loan at relegated Serie A side Cesana towards the end of last season and was a late omission from the Czech Republic squad for Euro 2012.

Vydra is a 20-year-old striker who spent most of last season on the sidelines due a knee ligament injury but returned to fitness earlier this year.

He had expected to remain with Udinese for pre-season but the Italian club decided to loan him out to Watford.

Vydra was signed by Udinese for around €4m two years ago after an excellent six-month stint at Banik Ostrava whilst still a 17-year-old.
