Orient midfielder Jimmy Smith will miss the trip to Sheffield United after he suffered a fractured cheekbone in the Good Friday defeat to Notts County.
The 25-year-old was forced off after receiving a knock to the head from County’s Damion Stewart and underwent an operation today.
Smith missed the trip to Exeter City on Monday and will definitely not feature on Saturday at Bramall Lane.
However, the midfielder could feature again before the summer with a protective mask.
Smith has been a regular feature for the O’s in a season which has seen the club struggle with injuries to a number of players.
The former Chelsea man has started 38 games for Orient during the campaign, chipping in with seven goals.
