West Ham handed a debut to Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia at Crystal Palace.

The Spaniard replaced Robert Green after he was ruled out for six weeks with a knee injury.

Papa Bouba Diop was also given his debut in midfielder for the Hammers alongside Jack Collison who returned to the side.

Joey O'Brien missed out with injury which meant Julien Faubert slotted into the defence. But Sam Baldock had to settle for a place on the bench.
