THE race to make the League Two play-offs looks set to go all the way.
Dagenham & Redbridge have slipped to 12th spot, but they are still only three points behind Northampton Town who sit in seventh, the final play-off position.
The Daggers could have narrowed the gap further on Tuesday night, but could not build on their lead at lowly Lincoln City and had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
Jon Nurse gave John Still's troops the lead on 33 minutes, but the Imps struck with 20 minutes to go, Davide Somma rescuing a point for the hosts.
Now Dagenham, who went down 1-0 at home to Rotherham United last weekend, must prepare for the visit of Macclesfield Town this Saturday.
Still will see this as a very winnable game, as the Silkmen are struggling at the wrong end of the table. However, they provided proof that anyone can beat anyone in this league, with an excellent 2-0 victory over promotion-chasing Bury on Saturday.
Town also have a pretty decent away record, with just five defeats. Though they have only won three, they have drawn nine.
At this stage of the season, home draws against teams below you in the table will not be good enough if the Daggers do want to make the play-offs, so Still will see Saturday's clash with the Silkmen as a must-win match.
