Man pleads guilty to gay chatline robberies

A MAN has admitted carrying out a string of robberies in Tottenham against men he met on gay chatlines.

Unemployed Adil Zahid, 27, of Walthamstow, appeared at Wood Green Crown Court, in Lordship Lane, yesterday.

He pleaded guilty to four counts of robbery, one theft of a motor vehicle and one count of false imprisonment.

The offences took place between June and August 2009 at several locations in Tottenham and another in east London.

He will be sentenced on November 5.
