West Ham United striker Carlton Cole says he is open to moving to MLS or China if his stay at Upton Park comes to an end this summer.

The 31-year-old is out of contract on June 30 and has made just two Premier League starts for the Hammers this season.

Speaking at Football Fighting Ebola event, a charity which he co-founded, the former England international said: "I love the place, I love the fans, I love everything about West Ham.

"But I know all good things do come to an end sometimes and you have got to just crack on. I'm trying my best to put myself in the best position to have a new contract, if not at West Ham then somewhere else."

He continued: "I'm quite open, I am an adventurous guy.

"I wouldn't mind a bit of China or even the MLS, you never know. I'm really open and I just want to see what offers are on the table and take it from there."

Cole returned to West Ham in September 2013 after being released four months earlier. And after scoring five times in nine starts he agreed a new contract for the 2014/15 campaign but has fallen behind Diafra Sakho, Enner Valencia and Andy Carroll.
