A Millwall fan is preparing to take on a mammoth attempt to sit in all 20,146 seats at the club’s stadium in 24 hours.

Craig Wilson, 22, is planning to tackle the backside bruising sit-athon at The Den to raise funds for Bromley Mencap on April 10.

The Lions supporter, a regular in the Dockers Stand, will start his epic challenge in the North Stand and finish in the home dug-out just before kick-off against Watford on April 11.

Mr Wilson, a Bromley Mencap member, is following in the footsteps of football pundits Alan Shearer and Robbie Savage, who attempted to sit on all 90,000 seats at Wembley Stadium.

The Sport Relief ‘Battle of the Backsides’ challenge took the ex-professional footballers, who attempted one half of the stadium each, five days to complete in March, last year.

Step-mum and Millwall Academy secretary Karen Wilson said: “I have warned Craig that he will get a sore backside, but he is determined to carry on regardless, so any messages of support or donations really will be gratefully received.”

With 20,146 repeats of the same movement, Mr Wilson’s quad and glute muscles are likely to take real punishment, as well as possible blisters and sores on the hips, bottom and groin.

Mrs Wilson added: "This is a great way for Craig to say 'Thank you' to Bromley Mencap for all the help and support they continue to give him and others."

Bucket collectors will be in the main car park on match day and you can also donate online here.

Bromley Mencap will donate 20 per cent of the money raised to Prostate Cancer UK as a thank you to Millwall Football Club.
