Leyton Orient face a crucial home game against fellow strugglers Scunthorpe United this weekend.

The O's dropped into the League One relegation zone after a disappointing defeat at Colchester United last weekend which leaves them four points behind tomorrow's opponents.

The hosts still have plenty of injury doubts although Scott Cuthbert (ankle injury), Kevin Lisbie (shoulder) and Darius Henderson (foot) all have a chance of being in the squad.

When asked about player availability following the defeat at Colchester, Liverani replied: "This is a question I cannot answer. Every time a player is near to a recovery something happens the day before the game and he is out again. However we have a strong squad and definitely strong enough to avoid relegation.

"Cuthbert was injured and so was Lisbie and Henderson. However these games give the possibility to other players that don’t normally play to show what they can do and are capable of. At the end of the day the performance on the pitch does not lie. It gives the chance to everyone to impress or prove that they’re not good enough."

Neil Eardley and Ryan Hedges are in line to make their home debuts after joining on loan this month.

Scunthorpe's league form has picked up significantly in recent months with one defeat in the last nine games.
