Brentford boss Mark Warburton says the capture of Everton striker Chris Long on an initial month-long loan has been a labour of love.
The 19-year-old, who has been on the books at Goodison Park since he was five years old, made his Toffees debut as a substitute against FC Krasnodar last year and arrives at Griffin Park having scored one goal in four loan appearances for MK Dons last year.
Long has repesented England at every age group from U16 to U20 level and played two matches for his country at the U20 World Cup in 2013.
"We have tracked Chris' progress from a young age," Warburton told the club's website.
"We are aware of his talent and we are looking forward to seeing how he benefits from the loan move and how he impacts the team's performance.
"Chris is a young boy with enormous potential."
Long is available for Saturday's Championship trip to Carrow Road to face Norwich City and will be with the Bees until February 21.
