Brentford boss Mark Warburton has said the bad blood between the Bees and Wigan Athletic is all water under the bridge as far as he is concerned.

Warburton slammed the Latics' tactics over their very public efforts to secure the signature of midfielder Adam Forshaw earlier in the season.

The former Everton midfielder, last season's League One player of the year, eventually chose to join former manager Uwe Rosler in Lancashire in a deal finally sealed on September 1 after a drawn out courtship.

The two teams go head-to-head in the Championship tomorrow for the first time since his exit for an undisclosed fee.

And Warburton has insisted all he is bothered about is the game and securing another three points.

"There was bad blood between the clubs because they wanted to take the League One player of the year from us," he said.

"But once it is done, it is done. It is an adult world. Business is business.

"We will always defend our corner.  He was an asset of ours and if we are going to sell him we will sell him on our terms.

"All I ever hear from Brentford supporters is we get taken for a ride or we lose our best assets - not anymore.

"It is not about me, Uwe, Adam or anyone else now. It is about the game."
