West Ham’s striker Diafra Sakho is setting his standards high by aiming to score a minimum of a goal a game, according to Sky Sports.
The Senegal international said: "Whenever I turn out at the Boleyn Ground, the minimum I’m aiming for is to score once.”
The £4.5m summer signing from Metz is insisting he will make an impact for the Hammers and wants to improve on his form last season, where he scored 20 goals in France.
Sakho scored on his home debut for the Hammers in their Capital One Cup defeat to Sheffield United last month, where they lost out on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
"Against Sheffield United, the manager asked me to do a job on the right-hand side and, while it was a new experience for me, I really enjoyed it. It's great to have scored on my home debut and hopefully you'll see plenty more of that,” the 24-year-old said.
